Stripey Stork are participating in the Big Give’s Christmas Challenge this year, which will be live between 3rd – 10th December (midday). Through the funds raised, we aim to provide a warm, safer place to sleep for every child who needs one in Surrey and Croydon throughout 2025. During the campaign, every donation made will be doubled, which means double the impact*.
Our aim is to raise £80,000: £40,000 from supporter donations, releasing £40,000 of match funding.
More than a million children in the UK don’t have a safe place to sleep. Many of the families we support need to prioritise regular bills, rent and food, over new beds and warm bedding. Children sharing beds, or sleeping in unsuitable beds, often struggle with tiredness, impacting their school learning, their ability to lead an active life, and their mental health.
Through the Big Give, Stripey Stork aims to provide a cot/bed, warm bedding, pyjamas and onesies so children experiencing poverty in Surrey and Croydon can stay warm and sleep well.
By registering your interest to pledge to the Big Give Christmas Challenge, we will email you when the campaign is live (3rd December 2024) so you can make a donation, which will then be doubled through match funding.
