We have put together a list of answers to the FAQ’s we regularly get asked about Stripey Shop.

We will use the funds you pledge to purchase the items needed to make up a gift bundle. This will be given to a family referred to us by the professional referral partner who made the request. This means you don’t need to worry about taking delivery of items at your home address and then having to drop them off with us. By having the funds in place, we can ensure we get the items to the family in a timely manner and we can take advantage of bulk buying and special offers.

By purchasing one of our gift bundles, we will be able to use your donation to purchase the new items needed to gift a family the practical items they need to flourish. If you purchase an item for one of our seasonal campaigns, then the funds will be used to purchase items for that campaign. In the event that there are funds remaining after seasonal campaigns, the funds will be put towards our work supporting families throughout the year. If you purchase an item from our year-round range of bundles, then it will enable us to buy the items required to fulfil the requests we have received from local families in need.

There is the option to boost your donation by adding an extra £2 or £5.

Yes, if you are a UK taxpayer then we’ll be able to claim an extra 25% on you donation. Just tick the gift aid checkbox at checkout, fill in your details and we’ll do the rest. Please note, we cannot claim gift aid on physical items purchased from our online shop e.g. greeting cards.

A small transactional fee will be deducted from your donation; because we are a charity this is a discounted rate. If paying via the debit/credit payment option (Stripe), this is 20p per transaction, plus 1.2% for UK cards or 2.9% for non-UK cards. Stripe is our preference as the fees are slightly lower, however you can also choose to use PayPal which is 20p per transaction, plus a 1.4% variable fee.

This is a great idea, they’ll love that you were thinking of others as well as them. You can either choose to send them an e-card or download a printable pdf to give them.

Yes, please feel free to add a personal message. This option is available when you enter the recipient’s email address.

Yes, we’ve thought of everything. You can sit back and relax once the purchase has been made. The e-card won’t be sent until the date you specified.

This will usually be sent within 3 working days of making the purchase by Royal Mail 1st class post (UK deliveries only). However, during busy periods it may take a little longer to process your order.

Yes, you will receive an order confirmation to the email address you entered for yourself as soon as the purchase is made.

You are very welcome to purchase a virtual gift bundle if you are located outside of the UK because no physical items are being delivered to you. For International orders of physical items e.g. greeting cards, please email info@stripeystork.org.uk for an estimated delivery cost.
