Run Reigate 2023 was a very special event. It marked the 10-year anniversaries of both Run Reigate and Stripey Stork. Our #TeamStork runners, supporters, and volunteers united to raise crucial funds for Surrey families in need.
The amount raised to date is a fabulous…
We are so grateful to everyone who sponsored our runners or donated on the day.
Our fabulous Team Stork runners
A huge thank you to everyone who ran for Team Stork at Run Reigate 2023:
Half marathon – Dawid, Kevin
10K – Jackie, Jon, Lucy, Megan and Sam
Kids’ race – Annaliese, Edward, Ethan, Jude, Lylah, Max, Millie, Milo, Mollie, Orla, Roxie and Saoirse
Simply the best
Our Team Stork runners really looked the part this year sporting limited edition t-shirts and caps with our special 10 year anniversary logo.
Every year there is great excitement in the build up to race day as we eagerly await the big costume reveal from Sam and Jackie. Over the years they’ve gone above and beyond to represent Team Stork. We’ve seen orange wigs, stripey socks, Wonder Woman and cheerleading inspired costumes. This year they rocked it with their Tina Turner inspired outfits, which were simply the best! Complete with inflatable microphones they were easily spotted around the course and great ambassadors for Stripey Stork.

We’re delighted that Jon from Celtic Contractors and his family continue to support Stripey Stork. Jon’s ran the 10K and his daughters Saoirse and Orla took part in the kids’ race. Thank you for flying the flag for us.
Osborne are one of our corporate partners and we’re grateful that they put their support behind Dawid as he ran for Team Stork this year.

Also joining Team Stork this year were Megan, Lucy and Kevin. We’re so proud of them and grateful for the money they raised and were delighted that they joined us on our podium.

Finally, a special shout out to our 12 young supporters who ran the kids’ race for us with huge smiles on their faces even though the heavens had opened. It really was very wet when they crossed the finish line, so they earned their medals as well the certificates and goody bags we had ready for them. Well done! We think you are all superstars.

Twins donating for twins
As last-minute entries to this year’s Run Reigate, twins Marie and Emma decide to do something practical to help the families we support in lieu of fundraising. They donated not one but two double buggies. What’s more fitting than twins donating for twins!? Double buggies are in such huge demand that we always have a long waiting list for them. We’re incredibly grateful for this generous donation and we know that the families who receive them will really enjoy the benefit of being able to get out and about.

Family fun in the event village
Our bright orange gazebo was back for Run Reigate 2023 and was up in the Event Village. We welcomed lots of visitors to our stall and it was great to see many of our supporters. A number of our charity friends were also represented, and we are all grateful for the support that we receive from the community.
As always, the Stripey Stork podium was the star attraction, and we loved seeing all our runners take their place. We even had a visit from the Mayor and Mayoress of Reigate & Banstead, who gamely took their position on our podium.

Children visiting our stall had the chance to play our book tombola
and of course get a hug with Stripey. Our four-legged friends were not
forgotten with some fabulous dog toys available to buy from Waggy Tails with
all proceeds going towards Sam and Jackie’s Run Reigate sponsorship.
