When you set up a regular gift, it is with the understanding that the donation will be taken each month until you cancel the mandate. We are very grateful for regular gifts, as this financial security means we can plan for the long term.
Yes, you can cancel your mandate at any time in your Big Give account under ‘My Account’ > ‘Your Regular Giving’. Click ‘View Mandate’, scroll to the bottom of the page and click ‘Cancel my regular donations’, give the reason for cancelling and ‘Submit’.
Canceling prevents any future scheduled monthly payments from being taken, and therefore being matched.
Your regular giving donation will be matched for the first 3 months, providing sufficient funds are available in the match funding pot when you set it up. Donations will still be taken after the first 3 months, but will not be matched.
Not quite, the campaign ends on Monday 28th September (11pm), so you need to have set up your regular payments before then. It’s advisable to do this sooner rather than later in September, as there is always the risk of the shared match funding pot being used.
The first donation is always taken immediately, and subsequent ones on the same day of the month.
Only donations made via debit or credit card can be made for this regular giving campaign. All payments will be processed via Stripe, and will incur a processing fee.
The minimum donation amount is £1, and the maximum amount is £500.
All participating charities have access to the campaign’s shared match funding pot which totals £25,000. This will be drawn down as donors sign up for regular giving, on a first come first served basis. You will be able to see what is available in the shared pot from our Big Give campaign page, under ‘Total Match Funds Available’.
Yes, you will first need to create a donor account with Big Give. An account takes no time to set up and will allow you to manage your regular giving donations quickly and easily. It is best to wait until the campaign is live before you create an account, then everything can be done at the same time.

Unfortunately, the campaign is only open to individuals and not businesses; you must have a personal bank account with a debit or credit card to be eligible.
